I recently purchased this TV, my first plasma TV, after the investigation, is reviewed on Consumer Reports (with the highest (82) Total of all 50 "plasma CR) and is being compared in order to visually Best Buy to the image quality to all others on their wall TV. On this basis, the features of this TV, and the price much lower than others, especially other LCD, I made the purchase.

Overall I'm satisfied with this TV, audio and video are excellent. The only thing that really sucks is that you can not see "TV Control". This is just really stupid design error. When I unpacked my TV has only 15 minutes to find the button "ON". This was the finding that the instruction booklet! I noticed one other person has stated that in his review. If you use the remote control is not a problem, but I bet that many owners do not even know are really the keys on the control panel on the TV. BAD JOB SAMSUNG great on a TV otherwise.

After check-out comparable 1080p 46 "models from Sharp, Samsung and Panasonic, we agreed on the Sony KDL-46V5100 to replace our dying 10 years 27" Panasonic. Got it in May. We are very pleased with the impressive overall image quality. Are sensitive to images that have some shots of the models: one that is pretty good. The HD quality is incredible for a particular CSI Miami fly-over shot of the beach, everything was so clear that I rubbed my eyes in disbelief! I was the blackout "problem, realize that others have talked about Sony's patch and applied immediately, so there is a problem for us.

This TV is a great value. It looks great (especially if connected to a Sony BluRay). Adjustable backlighting with a light sensor is a nice feature.
It has an excellent image quality. Standard definition channels look better than they do cathode ray tube televisions. HD channels look amazing.
Has a good number of HDMI inputs and enough connections to other devices.
The sound quality is excellent as well - but always to improve the coupling surround sound system.
